At Alice Ingham RC Primary School we pride ourselves on our pupil’s smart appearance and ensuring the correct balance between smart identifiable uniform and affordability.

School uniform and a smart appearance create self-respect and a sense of belonging. Children learn best when they are happy and relaxed. We are very aware of the fact that children are continually subjected to fashion influences with regard to hair styles and hair wear – some of which are
appropriate to the school situation whilst others are not.

Our aim is to shield our children from unnecessary pressures and worries, so that they can concentrate on learning. In no way should pupils’ appearance detract from their outstanding behaviour and attitude.

PE Kit

PE is taught on Monday and Friday at Alice Ingham. All children are expected to arrive to school in their PE kit on a Monday and Friday. They will keep their PE kit on for the whole day on PE days. Information about our PE kit can be found in our School Uniform Policy.
