Your child’s learning can be supported by reading every day, learning spellings, learning times tables and completing homework.  With reading, spellings and times tables, little and often is the key.

Class Routines

Reading Books

Reading books are changed when your child has read their book and completed the Accelerated Reading quiz to demonstrate their understanding. Children should regularly at home and bring their reading books to school everyday so that we can read with your child. When you have read with your child at home please sign their reading record, so we know they have read.

PE

We have PE on a Friday with Primary Stars coaches from Manchester United. Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit, including appropriate footwear, on this day

Homework

Homework/ key words will be sent home on a Friday and will need to be handed in on a Wednesday.

Class Blog

I was bursting with pride watching the children complete their DT day. They were making pop up books suitable for Year 1 with a range of mechanisms in them. I can’t wait for us to take them to Y1 and share them with the children.
